IN MEMORIAM MARDI DUNGEY
We are very saddened to announce the passing of Mardi Dungey, in January 2019, after a battle with cancer. Mardi was Professor of Economics & Finance at the Tasmanian School of Business & Economics. She was a founding member of SoFiE and a Fellow since 2016. Mardi was an important contributor to the Society, having co-authored the Presidential Address at the 2015 Aarhus conference, with Eric Renault. Most importantly, she was a colleague and friend to many in the Society, and she will be deeply missed. We extend our sympathies to Mardi’s family, especially Ross, Jack, and May.
IN MEMORIAM PETER CHRISTOFFERSEN
It is with great sadness that we learned the news about the untimely passing away of Peter Christoffersen on June 22, 2018, after a long struggle with cancer. To many of us, Peter was a friend. He was admired as a true scholar whose research influenced all of us. Peter held the TMX Chair in Capital Markets at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. He was a SoFiE Fellow since 2012 and was key to the success of the 2014 SoFiE Annual conference held in Toronto. Our hearts go out to his family, in particular to his wife Susan and his two sons Philip and Nicholas.
